These terms and conditions set out the basis on which Rose Electrical Installations Ltd will provide electrical and/or related services to the customer.

1. Definitions
"Company"
Rose Electrical Installations Ltd
"Customer"
The person or organisation for whom the company agrees to carry out work. The representative appointed by the company.
"Operative"
The representative appointed by the company.
"Customers representative"
The agreed person acting on behalf of the customer (Tenant, Manager, Estate Agents etc).
"Estimate"
The estimate issued by the company to the customer, specifying the services to be provided and the price to be charged.
"Works"
The electrical works and/or related services (and where applicable the supply of materials) to be provided by the company to the customer.
"Works Order Sheet"
The document issued by the company's operative to the customer (or customer representative) on completion of ordered works (invoice section included)
2. Rose Electrical Installations Ltd shall carry out the works in accordance with these terms and conditions. The company reserves the right to refuse or decline work at its own discretion. Where the company agrees to carry out works for the customer, those works shall be undertaken by the designated operative of the company at its absolute discretion.
3. The company shall take all reasonable endeavours to complete the works within any timescale agreed with the customer, although the customer acknowledges that (in the view of the nature of emergency works) it will often not be possible to agree a timescale. If any delay is due to something beyond the reasonable control of the company, the company shall have no liability to the customer in respect thereof and if the delay is due to the customer's own act or omission, the company shall be entitled to charge (at its then current schedule of hourly rates) for any additional labour and or materials required as a result.
4. Where works have been agreed to be carried out on an hourly basis, where the customer requests additional works to be carried out (whether orally or in writing), the company will apply the current schedule of hourly rates. Collection of non-stock items is chargeable but subject to: i) The customer must be informed wherever possible when the operative leaves the property. ii) Time must be kept to a minimum and reasonable. iii) If agreed with the office and the customer, the operative may pick up the materials in advanced of attendance and allowed one chargeable hour.
5. Fixed price work shall be given as a firm cost (manifest errors exempt) inclusive of labour and materials and shall be within 10% over and above the equivalent total hourly rate cost. All costs are subject to vat at the current rate.
6. Where a written estimate has been supplied to the customer, the price shall be revised subject to the following : i)If after submission of the estimate, there is an increase in the price of materials. ii) If after submission of the estimate the customer instructs the company (whether orally or in writing) to carry out additional works not referred to in the estimate. iii) If after submission of the estimate, it is discovered that further works need to be carried out which were not anticipated when the estimate was prepared. iv) If after submission of the estimate, it is discovered that there was a manifest error when the estimate was prepared.
7. The company will take all reasonable care, whilst carrying out the works, to avoid damage to furniture, carpets, flooring, plastering, decorations ect., but shall not be responsible for any consequential damage or loss arising out of the performance of the works otherwise done by negligence of the company's employees.
8. Where specified on the estimate, the customer shall pay to the company a deposit of such amounts agreed.
9. The customer's deposit shall be applied towards payment of the price/rate on completion.
10. If the customer seeks to terminate this agreement, the customer’s deposit shall be applied to cover the reasonable costs of the company incurred in the preparation for or in part performance of the works.
11. These terms & conditions may not be released, discharges, supplemented, interpreted, varied or modified in any manner except by an instrument in writing signed by a duly authorised representative of the Company & by the Customer. Further, these terms & conditions shall prevail over any terms & conditions used by the Customer or contained or set out or referred to in any documentation sent by the Customer to the Company; by entering into a contract with the Company the Customer agrees irrevocably to waive the application of any such terms & conditions.
12. Unless otherwise agreed Invoices must be paid in full on completion of works. The company shall be entitled to claim from the customer the amount of any reasonable professional fees and administration costs incurred by the company in seeking recovery of sums due.
13. If any consents, wayleaves, licences or authorisations (whether on the customer's premises or elsewhere) are required in connection with the works, they shall be obtained by the customer at its own cost.
14. The company warrants that the works will be carried out with all reasonable care and skill, any parts supplied will be of satisfactory quality. All repairs will be guaranteed for six months from the date of completed works. All additions or new works will be guaranteed for twelve months from date of completion of works.
Our Charges:
For works listed below, we can provide our most competitive quotation which will remain valid for 30 days from date of issue. On commencement of works, a 15%-25% deposit will be required and depending on the size of the contract, further interim payments will be required (within 7 days of invoice date) and the final balance to be paid within 7 days of final invoice.

Payment Terms
Payment must be made in full by electronic banking transfer, credit card, cheque or cash upon completion of works.
